Back to the Years When My Dad Was a Top-Tier Star

Child's perspective:

The little Taoist priest Lu Yan transmigrated after his dad slapped him.

Good news: Nobody's looking after him anymore!

Bad news: His family's ancestral Taoist temple is gone!

Good news: No more being forced to see ghosts!

Bad news: He's going to starve to death...

Underage and without any identity papers, Lu Yan sets out to search for his dad all over the world.

Wait!

Who's that man bouncing around on stage?

Who's that man on the giant screen, giving seductive looks with a cold face?

Who's that man covering his eyes while kissing another man?

Lu Yan feels like his entire worldview is collapsing!

His dad is actually his mom?

Parents' perspective:

Lu Qi is the eighteenth-generation successor of the Rebirth Temple on Shigu Mountain.

He was kicked off the mountain after he "accidentally" burned down the temple and his master's beard while sending a ghost off to be reborn.

After coming down the mountain, Lu Qi unexpectedly joined a boy band and became an idol.

His new mission: earn money to build a Taoist temple.

In his second year after debut, just as Lu Qi was starting to make a name for himself, he encountered an obsessive fan.

Lu Qi sneered. He was used to people calling him "husband," but it was the first time anyone had called him "Dad."

But why did that face look more and more like that old monster?

Could this be the old monster's son, here to frame him?

With that thought, he grabbed Lu Yan and rushed into Fu Sinian's office. In front of a whole group of reporters there for an interview, he tossed the boy forward. "Boss, your son, whom you abandoned in a freezing kiln for eighteen years, has come looking for his family!"

Fu Sinian: "..."

Lu Yan: "..."

The reporters, finally catching on: "Good heavens! What a scoop!"
