That Mushroom Is Poisonous

A thousand years ago, the "Eight Wastes" closed, leaving countless demons stranded in the human world. To maintain peaceful coexistence between humans and demons, human society established a Demon Police force.

A thousand years later, the little demon Xu Xun comes to the human world to find the soon-to-reopen "Eight Wastes." There, he meets Lu Ci, a demon-hunting officer.

Through a series of misunderstandings, Xu Xun ends up living at Lu Ci's place.

From then on, he keeps his secret identity under wraps every day.

Year X, Month X, Day X

Lu Ci wakes in the middle of the night, startled by a nightmare of being pinned down by a ghost, only to find a tender white mushroom weighing on him.

Xu Xun holds his breath, pretending to be an ordinary mushroom.

Later, Xu Xun is lying in Lu Ci's arms. Caught up in the moment, Lu Ci can't help kissing him, and promptly gets poisoned. Tiny spirits dance all around him.

Lu Ci is very relieved that the poison in Xu Xun's mouth isn't very potent. Otherwise, this mushroom might have ended up a widower.

Xu Xun never knew why he was called "Xun" until the Eight Wastes opened. But he was trapped in the eternal chaos, endlessly searching for the way back.

Reader's guide:

1. Xu Xun is a mutated green-capped mushroom, a poisonous variety. He won't be able to control the poison on his body at will until later in the story.

2. An innocent yet cunning bottom × an upright yet talkative top

3. The author doesn't think their writing is very good, so there's no need to let me know if you drop the story.

Happy ending
