Reading Tips:

1. This is a truly sweet romance. If it's not sweet, you don't pay.

2. Their ages and mindsets may differ, but their essential natures won't change.

3. At the start of the story, 27 is 17 years old and is classmates with the God of Death.

4. There won't be any cultivating immortality or fighting monsters. That's just part of the heroine's background, and some of the worldbuilding will come into play.

6. The story has lots of foreshadowing and is a very long one. Things may be a little vague at first, but everything will be explained later.

[In a nutshell: Sunflowers versus the scummy boss!]

Qiusheng Kui is a sunflower that has lived for over a thousand years and gained sentience. She's a little different from ordinary sentient sunflowers: she can turn into a human! She can also produce sunlight!

After turning into a human, Qiusheng Kui takes part in the Demon Slayer Corps' selection trial and, through her own efforts... gets saved by Sabito.

Qiusheng Kui: (teary-eyed) Nobody told me demons eat flowers! He had such a huge mouth! I'm so small! Waaaaah...

But the very next moment, the person who had been yelling in fear behind him drools at the demon in front of her. "I wonder if spiders taste good?"

During the Mugen Train arc,

Qiusheng Kui stares at Nezuko's box with shining eyes. "Nezuko, can I get in there with you?"

The three onlookers: Huh?

Compared to the three of them, Nezuko simply shrinks even smaller and pats the space beside her, inviting Qiusheng Kui in.

She successfully squeezes in beside Nezuko.

And when it comes time to face the scummy boss,

Qiusheng Kui leads her army of plants in sweeping through the Infinity Castle.

"Sunflower Breathing, First Form: Peashooter!"

She also gives the scummy boss a top-quality sunbathing barbecue treatment.

Qiusheng Kui drools hungrily nearby, only for the trio to drag her away without mercy.

There's a legend in the Demon Slayer Corps: the Sunflower Hashira isn't one person, but an entire army.

The Kakushi in charge of the interview plucks the peashooter off his own head and bites into it.

Qiusheng Kui: (teary-eyed) Sumimasen, Kakushi-chan.

The Hashira: Stare...

Kakushi: (sweating buckets) It's fine, it's fine. I've got tough skin.

He casually moves the corn cannon that's been following him off to the side, too.

Where on earth does this Sunflower Hashira get all these strange gadgets? There's the peashooter, the corn cannon, and...
