I French-Kissed Four Archenemies Just to Be a Pain

As someone who transmigrated, Shen Jingchun has done very well for herself. She became a Sword Sovereign through her own efforts, and she's also exceptionally good at being obnoxious. Nearly everyone has been angered by her until they coughed up blood.

But there are exceptions to everything. Shen Jingchun never manages to get the better of her four archenemies.

Just as she is fretting over how to make them suffer a setback, the System finally shows up.

The System tells Shen Jingchun that she is the heroine of a groveling-romance novel, and her task is to become the male leads' inner demons.

As it happens, the four male leads are her archenemies.

For years, Shen Jingchun has been thinking of ways to make her archenemies suffer. The System's conquest plan suddenly makes everything clear to her.

Still, just confessing isn't intense enough.

The unattainable Imperial Preceptor gazes at her with gentle, alluring peach-blossom eyes. He takes her hand and guides it to the heart-shaped mark on his belly, his tail curling around her hem as he murmurs with devotion, "Good girl, I'm so hungry."

Shen Jingchun: Damn it, I should've known better than to be obnoxious.

Male leads: A refined but depraved stepbrother, a possessive and twisted mad dog, a lunatic snake-demon Demon Venerable, and a succubus daddy.

Important: 1. They are archenemies, archenemies, archenemies! I'll say it three times! None of them are good people, and they scheme against each other! If you can't accept this, please leave! Don't come to my comments and accuse me of abusing the heroine!!!

2. This novel has a mountain of original worldbuilding. The heroine is adored by everyone and will do anything to achieve her goals, even hurt herself. The pairings are one-on-one at different stages. This is self-indulgent fun.

3. The heroine has been involved with people other than the four male leads as well.

4. The heroine and her stepbrother only get together after they sever their false blood relationship.

1. Recently, the capital has gained a new source of gossip: Gu Changxin, the eldest legitimate son of the Marquis of Yongan's household, has married a beautiful young woman.

The beauty is named Jiang Lian. She has the delicate, innocent manner of a helpless white lotus, and is every bit as lovable as her name suggests.

But she's only a merchant's daughter.

Gu Changxin, on the other hand, comes from a prominent family. He joined the army as a young man, and within a few years had earned great distinction and been made a general.

Naturally, many people opposed a man like him marrying a merchant's daughter, especially one who wasn't even the legitimate eldest daughter.

His younger brother, Gu Changzhao, raised his brows and scolded him, his eyes full of disdain for Jiang Lian. "You're rough and uncouth. How could a delicate woman like her love you? She's surely after your money and status."

No matter how others tried to dissuade him, Gu Changxin insisted on marrying Jiang Lian. He even ruined the marriage agreement Jiang Lian's family had already arranged for her, earning himself a reputation for abducting a bride by force.

Their married life was happy enough, but it didn't last. Gu Changxin received an imperial order to lead a campaign.

Before leaving, Gu Changxin specifically asked his brother and friend to look after Jiang Lian. But before long, terrible news arrived: Gu Changxin had disappeared and was presumed dead.

But in time, their care began to take on a different meaning.

Jiang Lian was frail, and the wind could make her sick, like a willow branch ready to snap.

Gu Changzhao was unrestrained and haughty, a nobleman with exacting tastes. Yet now he stayed at her side without changing his clothes, carefully feeding her medicine himself. "My brother has passed away, so it's only right that I care for you, sister-in-law. You don't have to stand on ceremony."

Jiang Lian accidentally fell into the water and caught a chill.

Pei Ji was a gentleman as straight as bamboo, cold by nature. Yet now he held her close to drive away the cold, coaxing her with his words. "The Gu family is beginning to decline. Why not marry me? I'll look after you for my departed friend and give you a secure, prosperous life."

Jiang Lian looked ready to cry and hid her face as she sobbed. "Y-you're his closest kin. How could I betray my husband?"

Jiang Lian always kept their advances at arm's length, neither accepting nor refusing outright.

Just as she finally decided who to choose next, her dead husband came back.
