Moving to the City with My Wife and Child

Xu Rui has a sworn enemy. One day, on a whim, he writes his nemesis into a pregnancy-and-lactation story. Then an earthquake sends him to a small mountain village in the 1980s. When he opens the door, he discovers that his nemesis has traveled there too. He stares at his enemy lying on the bed and grins maliciously. “I’m your husband now. You’d better behave, or I’ll divorce you!” His nemesis holds out a household register. “You’re saying you’re my husband?” Xu Rui snatches the register and takes a closer look. He’s devastated. Fine, his nemesis is the head of the household. But why does the register list Xu Rui’s relationship to the head as “wife”?! And what leaves Xu Rui even more speechless is that the things he originally wrote for his nemesis in the novel are now happening to him instead. With trembling hands, he gives his nemesis the hospital test results and says in despair, “I’m pregnant...” His nemesis: “? Whose is it?” Xu Rui: “Yours...” His nemesis: “I’ve never touched you. Don’t try to pin this on me.” Xu Rui has no way to explain. Theme: Never give up.
