[Cold and Unfeeling Daoist Immortal Venerable Shou x Sunny, Loyal Puppy, Sweet on the Outside and Dark Within, Damp and Scheming Green Tea Disciple Gong]
| Seems like 1V2, but actually 1V1 |
Shen Chenqing was the only person in the cultivation world to be granted the title of Heavenly Chosen Son by the heavens before his ascension.
He was born with immortal bones, a talent seen once in a thousand years. His aptitude was peerless, and he was a cultivation prodigy.
Yet just as he was about to ascend, his good disciple forcibly dragged him back down from the heavens. The tribulation lightning struck his disciple instead!
Shen Chenqing: "Is there something wrong with your head?"
Song Heyu, who had only reached Foundation Establishment after four years of cultivation, was nearly burned to a crisp. Still, he sobbed aggrievedly, "Master, I'm scared. Don't leave me."
Everyone believed that after his disciple had interfered, the Heavenly Chosen Son would never have a chance to ascend in this lifetime.
But then
Shen Chenqing actually ran his sword straight through his disciple!
"Go ahead and be afraid. Your master cultivates the Unfeeling Dao."
Perfect. Killing you will prove my Dao.
When Song Heyu opened his eyes again, he had been reborn as an orphan.
After luckily surviving a demonic tide, he understood the importance of cultivation. So he named himself Song Yanxue, entered the Heavenly Chosen Son's sect once again, and became his junior fellow disciple.
This time, he would make his former self see through Shen Chenqing's hypocrisy and coldheartedness, and realize that he was nothing but a stepping stone to his ascension!
Besides, how could he leave the grudge of a sword wound unavenged?
A sword's spring chill, snow stretching ten thousand miles. Peerless Heavenly Chosen, one thought illuminates the vastness.
PS:
1. Traditional cultivation, with a touch of level progression. Both leads are domineering geniuses. A tropey master shou and disciple gong pairing: a cold, unfeeling Dao graduate and a mad, irreverent pair of demon kings.
2. Extreme fans of either character type, please don't read. Both are pure.
3. For narrative reasons, the point of view varies, but mostly follows the gong. The gong is basically two bodies, connected by a special form of empathy.
4. The shou is very slow to understand his feelings and falls in love slowly.
5. Includes angsty tropes such as non-consensual situations, faked death, confinement, misunderstandings, past and present lives, and a groveling arc.
6. The gong will merge into one person, though he'll be a bit split-personality.
