Lin Yu had delicate, refined features and a calm, distant personality.
On the surface, he was an aloof beauty, but in reality, he was a little clingy and absolutely adored fluffy things. The first thing he did every day when he got home was cuddle his soft plushies.
To maintain his image, Lin Yu avoided making friends or dating and kept people at a distance, devoting himself entirely to work. But after an accident awakened memories of the plot, he learned that he was a villain obsessed with the protagonist gong.
To escape his scripted fate, Lin Yu decided to find someone and start dating.
He had two requirements for a partner: 1. Know how to date. 2. Keep their distance.
A friend in the know told him: You might as well find someone to date online.
But finding someone to date online wasn't easy, either.
Lin Yu spent the whole day searching websites, then finally turned his attention to a new gaming friend.
The guy seemed decent, was single, lived abroad, and almost perfectly fit the bill. Lin Yu spent the night searching for tips on how to pursue someone and date them.
First rule of online dating: Have a nice voice and be sweet-talking.
Lin Yu sent him a voice message: "...Hey, big brother, want to date online?"

Qi Yanshan had a successful career and a stable life. By chance, he met a like-minded online friend through a game.
Though younger, the other guy was talented, fun, and a great match for him.
Qi Yanshan exchanged contact details and became friends with him, only to discover that the other guy seemed to want to pursue him.
Hearing the slight tremble in the other's voice messages, Qi Yanshan's heart softened, and he agreed to give it a try.
He thought it would be a temporary measure, but the other guy seemed to like him a lot.
He never missed a good morning or good night message. Once they got closer, they talked on voice chat every day. He was clingy, knew just how to flatter him, and kept wanting to send him gifts.
Qi Yanshan couldn't resist being won over by the sweet talk, until he suggested meeting in person...
Lin Yu: Ah, um...
Lin Yu started stammering.
Lin Yu frantically posted online asking for help: How can I date someone for the rest of my life without meeting them in person?
*
After putting off meeting in person for the time being, Lin Yu immediately got caught up in work. He had to take his uncle's place in a business partnership...
The partner was the protagonist gong's uncle: tall, handsome, and a workaholic.
Lin Yu kept things cordial and they got along just fine, but after a business trip together, he noticed the man suddenly acting strangely. Among other things, he started bringing Lin Yu breakfast early in the morning and often asking about Lin Yu's relationship with his boyfriend...
Lin Yu: ...Help!
Before he could figure out why the man had changed, Lin Yu heard a familiar voice at a shareholders' meeting, one that was an exact match for his online boyfriend.
He looked up. Sitting at the head of the table with headphones on was his business partner, the protagonist gong's uncle: Qi Yanshan!
Their eyes met. Lin Yu's face was expressionless, but his heart pounded.
Remembering all the times he'd been anything but aloof while dating online, Lin Yu slowly lowered his head. Lower, and lower.
Help!
My online boyfriend is someone I know in real life!

Blurb: Jiang Zhi fell in love at first sight with his new roommate.
The guy was tall and handsome, and had no messy dating rumors.
He was cold to everyone else, but treated Jiang Zhi very well: he went with him to the infirmary, brought him meals, and waited for him after class...
More importantly, he was into guys, just like Jiang Zhi.
His friends put it this way: Go for it!
So Jiang Zhi got carried away and started pursuing him:
Crossing half the campus to invite him to eat together.
Going with him to play ball at the gym.
Buying him his favorite snacks.
Going with him to a cosplay convention...
The guy was exactly Jiang Zhi's type, and they had a great time together.
The only thing that bothered Jiang Zhi was that, despite how close they were, there wasn't a hint of romance between them.
After trying both direct and indirect hints, Jiang Zhi decided to turn up the heat:
At a classmate's birthday party, he downed a few drinks, then used his drunkenness as an excuse to climb into the guy's bed and lie down beside him.
Instead, the guy worried he wouldn't sleep comfortably and considerately moved to another bed.
Jiang Zhi: "."
Jiang Zhi thought long and hard about what had gone wrong, then unexpectedly heard that the guy might be straight.
Damn!
He'd got it wrong.
Thinking about how he'd pursued him, Jiang Zhi was so embarrassed he wanted the floor to swallow him up. He quickly packed his things and signed up for a tour to clear his head.

Lu Cijing seemed to have fallen for his new roommate.
The guy was handsome, kind, and wonderful in every way. He just wasn't very quick to pick up on romantic feelings.
Afraid of scaring him off, Lu Cijing decided to take things slowly and win him over little by little.
He never expected the guy to suddenly start avoiding him one day.
He couldn't get him to go out for a meal, couldn't catch him at the dorm, and then he signed up for a tour and went traveling. Seeing him became next to impossible.
Lu Cijing went over everything carefully but still couldn't figure out what had happened, so he decided to go after him and ask directly.
When they met, Jiang Zhi was asking for love advice from a vendor in a tourist town, the kind who charged fifteen yuan per person.
Sitting on a tiny stool with his chin in his hands, Jiang Zhi sighed sadly. "The person I like is straight. How do I get over him?"
Lu Cijing's heart sank. He could barely stop himself from going over, grabbing him, and demanding, "Who do you like?"

After the two got together, Jiang Zhi and Lu Cijing went over how Jiang Zhi had pursued him, only for Lu Cijing to question every single point:
"Wasn't I the one who crossed half the campus to eat with you?"
"At the gym, who was the one who wanted to play ball? You even got my number wrong during our one and only basketball game."
"Who ended up eating all those snacks?"
"Who got so excited at the cosplay convention that they lost me?"
Jiang Zhi's face turned bright red. He couldn't help reaching over to cover Lu Cijing's mouth.
Then Lu Cijing pinned him in his arms and kissed him until the matter was forgotten.
