The Wife I Picked Up Keeps Saying She's a Monster

On the third day of standing in the rain by the roadside, holding a flowerpot, Xie He met a human who wanted to take him home. Unlike the others who had tried to take him away, this man wore a suit and looked fierce, but his eyes were gentle. Xie He, convinced that as the last monster in the world he ought to protect himself, decided that the best way to fit into human society was to "use" Sheng Cheng. He would go home with him. The moment Sheng Cheng saw Xie He by the roadside, his heart nearly leaped out of his chest. He knew almost instantly that this was the person he would marry one day. It didn’t matter if he was a little silly. After bringing Xie He home, Sheng Cheng thought he could finally stop sleeping alone and cuddle his soft, sweet-smelling husband to sleep. But On the first night, Sheng Cheng was jolted awake by a loud crash. He opened his eyes to find Xie He, who should have been lying obediently in his arms, crouched by the window with his head tilted back, gasping for air On the second night, Sheng Cheng had barely fallen asleep when Xie He, red-eyed and looking aggrieved, shook him awake. "It’s so dry. I’m dehydrated!" On the third night, Sheng Cheng fell asleep in fear and trepidation. When he woke, he saw Xie He squatting by his bed with a flower growing on his head, staring at him * One day, Xie He decided he’d spent enough time with Sheng Cheng to tell him his secret. So, on a dark and stormy night, he crept to Sheng Cheng’s bedside with a flower growing on his head. "I’m going to tell you a secret." Sheng Cheng opened his eyes and, with practiced ease, pulled him into his arms. "You’re a monster." Xie He: ! When had he given himself away? Sheng Cheng tousled his soft hair and put the flower in the empty vase by the bed, soothing him. "All right, little monster. Time to sleep."
