After Three Failed Coup Attempts, I Ended Up in a Love Triangle

[Main story complete] [The second book in the same series, Three Failed Usurpations and Another Brawl, is now serializing! Come check it out! Synopsis at the very end!] Synopsis: The Mafia Boss Simulator is a critically acclaimed full-dive simulation game. The goal is to lead your faction to the top as its boss. But honestly, isn’t it easier to take out the boss of an existing faction than to build a new one from scratch? The Fourth Calamity decisively reached out with wicked intent toward several organizations on the map And so, the assassination squad of a certain clam family gained a Cloud Guardian with an exceptionally pleasant personality, who grinned his way into winning the favor of practically everyone in the organization. A certain port company gained a perpetually smiling executive. Once the captain of the boss’s personal guard who had witnessed the transfer of power, he became the Port Mafia’s “Harbinger of Death,” second only to the boss in authority. But in the end, they both chose to betray him. Bad Endings achieved: [The Sky’s Last Plea] [How to Bury a Cloud] [Fastest Failure on Record] After a series of inhuman lessons, including a Dying Will Flame “facial,” a Gravity User “massage,” and a Goldfish Face Stand User’s “chest-piercing bone alignment,” the player became even more decisive about starting over. This time, the player finally decided to build a faction of his own from the ground up and play the game properly. Game: Too late. Punishment mode activated! And so, the player shrank from a dependable adult man who stood six foot two to an ordinary middle schooler just over five foot seven. The player silently rolled up his sleeves. No big deal. He could still start over. But being sent to his second playthrough by a Ten-Year Bazooka and picked up by a little detective from that playthrough, having the “PASSION” from his third playthrough show up in the fourth on a mission to hunt him down across the country, and having the Vongola crew from his first playthrough cross borders, claiming they were taking him home... Now that was a bit of a problem, wasn’t it?! On the player’s left, the all-embracing Sky and the Sky who was embraced were fighting over the “Varia Cloud Guardian,” while their respective Guardians traded barbs, each looking ready to join the fray at any moment. On the player’s right, the Gravity User had finally lost patience. He was yelling at the top of his lungs while cursing out the bandage-wrapped man, all the while clashing noisily with the Detective Agency. The little detective stood beside them, sitting out the fight and snacking as he casually exposed everyone’s secrets. NPCs from all four playthroughs filled the air with flashy effects of every color. The player, caught in the middle, tried to struggle free. His famous-detective companion immediately put on a tearful kitten face and pleaded with him using a pair of emerald-green eyes. The player... silently lowered his rolled-up sleeves and sneakily petted the cat. The protagonist is the top. He will never be portrayed as timid or submissive. If he is, it’s fake. The pairing is with the famous detective, but the player is surrounded by one-sided crushes. (Doge) A note now that I’ve finished writing: due to the length, the JOJO group gets relatively little attention, you could even say very little. Apologies in advance to everyone who came for JOJO. Also, please don’t tell me if you’re dropping the story. Let’s all be happy, QAQ. And now, please enjoy the advance synopsis: Step right up and take a look! It’s the second book in the Failed Usurpation series! Three Failed Usurpations and Another Brawl Synopsis: The First Boss Simulator is a critically acclaimed full-dive simulation game. The goal is to lead your faction to the top and become the undisputed “First Boss.” But honestly, isn’t it easier to take out the boss of an existing faction than to build a new one from scratch? The Fourth Calamity gave a knowing smile and promptly went after a suitable target. Besides, he himself was rather fragile, so he needed to find a handy weapon. And so A thousand years ago, a scholarly young counselor appeared at the side of the Gojo clan’s Six-Eyed head. The black-haired young man, feared as the “Cloud-Hiding Evil Spirit,” lowered his eyes with a smile and loyally managed every aspect of the clan for its head. Two hundred years ago, the Demon Slayer Corps gained an ally who was as frail and sickly as their leader. The delicate strategist, unable to lift a sword, turned into a “demon” and stood behind the Demon King as the “Fallen Cloud.” His crimson eyes curved gently, red as blood. Finally, twenty years ago, the Kamo clan gained a black-haired elder with a cold smile. He helped the Kamo clan rise to become the foremost of the Three Great Families, earning him the title of its true brain and leader: the mastermind hidden behind the clan head. But in the end, they all became a few thin lines in the archives, recording lives that flashed by like shooting stars. Bad Endings achieved: [Do Not Break Another’s Blade, Do Not Incite the Wrath of the Cloud] [Where the Cloud Was Abandoned] [The Heavens Collapse] The player was furious. In the first generation, he took a liking to the Gojo clan’s Six Eyes, but the Six Eyes and Ten Shadows clashed, so the player got into a fight with the Zenin clan too. In the second generation, he took a liking to one of the Demon King’s subordinates, but the Demon King died too quickly, and all the demons turned to ash. The player grumbled as he quit the game. In the third generation, the player finally found a useful Heavenly Restriction. He was just about to raise the Kamo clan to the point where he could clear the game when the clan head was killed. Unable to tolerate losing his clear condition, the player dug up the NPC at any cost and scattered his remains, but the Kamo clan was left severely weakened. So the player gave up and started over even more decisively. At last, he decided to build his own faction from the ground up and clear the game properly. Game: How about trying Punishment Mode? That was why he had shrunk from a dependable adult man who stood six foot two to a frail middle schooler just over five foot seven. The player silently adjusted his glasses. No big deal. He could still start over. But all his classmates at school were reincarnations of his second-generation allies, the “weapons” he had taken a liking to in the second and third generations were blocking the school gates on either side, “coming to take their master home,” two of the Three Great Families were fighting tooth and nail in stretch limousines outside his spawn point, and the Demon Slayer Corps and jujutsu higher-ups were tearing each other apart... Now that was a bit of a problem, wasn’t it!? A certain white-haired Six Eyes had something to say about that. He grabbed a megaphone and confidently called out, “Hey! My destined old, ” The player watched impassively as the “weapons” from the second and third generations teamed up to beat him flying, his max-level subordinates ganged up on him, and his reincarnated allies dragged him away like a cat-shaped strip. Smiling falsely, he adjusted his glasses. “Great. He doesn’t need a brain. We can donate it to someone who does.” Who started spreading that ridiculous legend about the player guarding the Six Eyes’ tomb for a thousand years, anyway? That’s the current idea for this advance story! It’s about alternate-world counterparts! The protagonist is the top, the protagonist is the top! I don’t want my kid to be too passive, and a frail genius-type top is pretty delicious too. (Fidgets) The pairing is with the bratty cat, but as usual, the player is surrounded by one-sided crushes. (Doge) Theme: Sincerity begets sincerity
