One day, the top moved into the famous No. 99 Ideal Street.
Rumor had it that something was very wrong with the place, and that evil spirits might be lurking there.
The top scoffed at the rumors. On the day he moved in, he fell in love at first sight, and then all over again, with the boy next door, who was holding an umbrella and counting ants.
For the first time in his life, the top had fallen for someone. He began to pursue the boy clumsily, bringing him flowers and plants one day, fruit the next, and then going over to cook for him himself.
Thanks to the top's persistence, their relationship grew closer and closer. Finally, six months later, they announced their engagement.
Unable to resist showing off, the smug top made a post online.
But as he recounted his love story, the commenters started getting uneasy.
[He likes rotten apples... Uh, is that really normal?]
[He hates the sun, hmmm.]
[The room is so damp that water drips from it, and mushrooms are growing in the corners... Poster, maybe you should think about it. I don't think normal people would live in a place like that.]
[So, poster, you really don't think that mushroom photo you posted is sanity-shattering?]
[Could it be that your wife isn't human?]
The commenters offered all sorts of advice. When they learned the top lived on Ideal Street, they urged him to run for his life before he ended up dead without even knowing what had killed him!
The top scoffed, grabbed his keyboard, and started a fierce online battle with all those people badmouthing his wife.
[Your wife really isn't human!]
[LOL, of course my wife isn't human. She's a goddess who descended to the mortal world! Jealous? Envious? Too bad you don't have one.]
[Poster, do you really not think there's something wrong with your mental state? You should get checked out at a hospital.]
[Of course there's something wrong with my mental state. You don't have a wife, so how would you know what it's like to feel this blissfully out of this world?]
[...] What an idiot. I've never seen anyone so eager to get himself killed.
[I really do want to die in my wife's arms. Don't you? Oh, right, you don't have a wife.]
The top argued with all comers online, infuriating them so much that they lost it. But before long, he got his comeuppance.
An unexpected incident proved that something really was wrong with No. 99 Ideal Street.
The commenters returned to the thread in the middle of the night to mock him.
[Hahaha, it's official! No. 99 Ideal Street has been designated an extremely dangerous zone. A wicked god is suspected to be roaming around there.]
[Poster, could your wife be that wicked god? Hahaha, we really don't have a wife like that.]
[Your wife loves you? Ah, the way you love a little bug? dog]
[Does she love you the way you love food?]
[Surely no one really thinks a wicked god could fall in love with a human the way a human falls in love with food, right?]
[Wicked god: This human is kind of stupid. I'll tease him a little. Human: They love me.]
[Human: Their affection for me is at 100. Wicked god: But a wicked god's affection can't be measured.]
[I'll let you figure out who's the real clown, hahaha.]
The top was so furious he lost it, and immediately fired back at them on his keyboard.
[So what if she's a wicked god? Can't a wicked god date me?]
[So a wicked god can accept my proposal and then refuse to take responsibility?]
[So a wicked god can toy with my feelings?]
After finishing his tirade, the still-fuming top slammed his keyboard down and glared at the bottom, demanding, "Are you going to take responsibility or not?"
The bottom patted his cheek to comfort him. Snow-white fungal threads were nearly burying the top. In all seriousness, he answered each question in turn: "I won't deceive you. I'll take responsibility. We can date."
Then he happily embraced the top and eagerly asked when they were getting married.
The top was instantly healed. He put the idiot commenters out of his mind and happily hugged the bottom as they discussed the wedding and honeymoon details.
A little scene:
Ten years later, someone bumped the top's post back to the top of the forum and asked if the poster was still alive, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
The top made a leisurely, smug appearance. He was alive, and not only alive, but now had billions of children. Ah, never mind. He had too many children and needed to go earn money for formula.
The bottom sighed beside him and produced many more spores for the top.
There was no helping it. His boyfriend liked playing house, so he had to humor him.
Though the bottom couldn't understand why spores counted as children.
