Writing Pure-Love Stories in a Cyberpunk World

This is an era in which even words can be a crime;

This is an era in which thoughts are trapped in cages;

This is a world where light is hard to find, hope is scarce, and love and justice are mocked.

As soon as Fanxing transmigrates into this world, he faces charges of thoughtcrime and is banished to a low-ranking planet.

Penniless and down on his luck, Fanxing, once a famous novelist, has no choice but to return to his old profession. Looking at the brain-computer he dug out of a trash heap, he decides to start with the genre this world looks down on the most: pure romance.

Who says romance novels have to be full of betrayal and suspicion?

Who says the leads have to go their separate ways and become strangers in the end?

Fanxing rubs his chin and happily types out an outline.

At first, the numb, cold-hearted people of the interstellar world reject it. What is this unrealistic love story full of third-rate fantasy? And it's about the arrogant long-lived species and the humans, who are always deceitful and fickle?

Ridiculous! How could an immortal fall in love with a short-lived mortal?

I'm not reading it!

Not even if you kill me!

But...

This novel is kind of, just a little, good.

I-I'm only going to read a little!

As the novel progresses, the people of the interstellar world are gradually drawn in. Watching the two leads in the story, they slowly break into knowing smiles.

So sweet!

They're perfect for each other!

I feel like it's healing me, too!

Fanxing, I love you! Hurry up and update. I want them to get together already!

But the interstellar readers, already hooked, don't know that Fanxing, the famous novelist from Earth, is known as "The Knife Master." His stories are always full of love and light, always uplifting, with warmth flowing between the lines. And yet, what he does best is strike with a knife when you least expect it.

My condolences.

To guard against the thoughtcrime charges and literary inquisition that might come, Fanxing, now completely hidden among the trees, thinks calmly: The interstellar species are hunting down "Vega." What does that have to do with him, Fanxing?
