[Synopsis]
Sasazuka Sena had some bad news: he had lost his memory.
If you asked him how he knew his own name, Sasazuka Sena figured it must be intuition.
But he had even worse news. Anyone would be startled to open their eyes and see someone waving a dagger over their face, wouldn't they?
And then these people had the nerve to ask what kind of thing he was.
He wasn't a thing! Open your eyes and look! He's a person... Wait, maybe he really isn't human?! But there's no way he's a thing, either!
[Another Point of View]
Matsuda had something to say, too. Anyone would be disgusted to find something that looked and moved like a slug, and might even be a slug, crawling on their hand!
But before he could get rid of it once and for all, it suddenly attached itself to one of his arms.
Then his right arm stopped obeying him. Considering all those classic gross-out horror stories, how could this possibly be a good thing?
So waving a knife at it was already giving it a lot of consideration.
--
Sasazuka Sena had never felt so wronged. He was a tiny bug weighing only five kilograms. A strong breeze could blow him away, so it wasn't his fault that he floated through the air at night like a ghost.
Besides, some people had to work during the day, so he could only go out for a stroll at night. But he kept running into murder cases and kidnappings, and always ended up getting dragged in as a suspect.
Not to mention the times he just happened to stumble across someone being silenced.
If it weren't for that time when flames filled the sky, he might have gone on living like that forever.
But even a bug has to eat.

[Third-person narration, main character is the uke]
[The protagonist can turn into a human, but his mimicked form counts as human too, doesn't it? (rests chin in hand)]
[Ahem, this has nothing to do with a certain banned work, ahem ahem]
