Rain Over Raging Waves

After Lu Qingchi died, she became a wandering spirit. Unable to enter reincarnation, she could only drift around her own grave day after day. She had been gravely wounded before she died, and her memories were incomplete. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember how she had died.

Life as a wandering spirit was dull and tedious. Fortunately, every year on Tomb-Sweeping Day, a white-robed sword cultivator came to pay his respects, carefully and attentively wiping her gravestone.

The sword cultivator was lean and upright, with stern features. She thought he must have loved her dearly.

One day, an immortal ascended and blessings rained down. She was granted the chance to cultivate the Dao as a spirit, and at some point, a memory appeared in her mind.

On a clear day amid the heavy snow, the white-robed sword cultivator ran his sword through her chest. She stared at him in confusion, not knowing why. He pulled out his sword and turned away, leaving her alone on the cold snow, lonely and bewildered.
