Written as Best Friend, Read as Wife

Luo Mingzhi is an ordinary person in a world where paranormal phenomena have returned. He has a regular routine, a stable job, and a childhood friend, Yu Anjing, whom he has known for years. Their friendship is peaceful and steady, and he is quite content with his life.

One day, however, on his way to work, a strange System bound itself to him and threatened to kill him if he failed to complete his missions. To save his life, he had to transmigrate to different worlds and win over other men.

As an ordinary person in a world where paranormal phenomena have returned, Luo Mingzhi knew a ghost had latched onto him. He had no way to get rid of it, and would most likely die.

Calmly, he sent his childhood friend the suicide note he had written long ago, telling him where his estate was. Then Luo Mingzhi sat on the balcony of his home and quietly waited for death.

But the second his message was sent, enormous, black, translucent tentacles smashed through the wall and formed a protective barrier around him.

At the source of the tentacles stood a blurry figure. Its body was twisted, nothing like a living person's, yet it vaguely resembled his childhood friend, Yu Anjing.

"What... did... you say?"

"Who... wants... to kill you?!"

Luo Mingzhi: ?

Wait, is this Yu Anjing?

Huh? You're not an ordinary person? Are you a ghost?

Yu Anjing had a secret. Every time he fell asleep, he would go adventuring in another supernatural world with a Lovecraftian bent.

In that world, he had the misfortune of becoming a supernatural being. He had skirted death again and again, eventually ascended to godhood and become an evil god, then closed the passage so he would no longer dream.

Through all those trials and dangers, the only thing that kept Yu Anjing sane was his determination to end the nightmare, return to his normal life, and spend the rest of his life peacefully as a friend of Luo Mingzhi.

Once he had done that, and was quietly enjoying his everyday life with his best friend, he suddenly received a suicide note from him.

And so the evil god flew into a rage.

The whole world would tremble before him.

2. I want to write something sweet, so let me give it a try!

3. The leads both have moral compasses unlike those of ordinary people. The world is strange, so it's only natural that their outlooks differ from those of normal people.

4. I'll add more if I think of anything.
