[All kinds of obsessive, creepy monster tops x a socially anxious, vulnerable bottom]
Bai Xi is socially anxious. He's not used to warm, outgoing interactions, hates mandatory drinking gatherings, and his solitary nature makes him crave independent, quiet spaces. But his coworkers are unusually enthusiastic. They're always eager to make Bai Xi part of their social circle, using every means possible to invite him to gatherings.
He had no choice but to rent a place in the distant suburbs to escape those intimate, strange get-togethers.
The neighborhood was quiet and deserted, and the place next door had always been empty.
Until one day, a man moved in.
The man was muscular, with a sturdy frame wrapped in a black T-shirt. He always wore a mask when he went out, looked fierce, and seemed to have a lot of tattoos. Every time Bai Xi ran into him in the elevator, the man would stare at him darkly. It was terrifying.
Bai Xi wanted to move again.
Then one time, Bai Xi was forced to work overtime and accompany his boss to a business dinner. By the time he got home, it was one in the morning. The elevator lights flickered, silence hung in the air, and he ran into that man again.
In a daze, Bai Xi felt someone pressed against his back. A breath burned hot right beside his ear, and the man's heavy breathing seemed like it could devour him.
The next day, Bai Xi woke up in his own apartment. He couldn't remember what had happened the night before. As usual, he changed into a shirt and tie and went to work, his clothes always neat and clean. Traffic was especially bad that day, and he clocked in with only a second to spare before being late. Near the elevator, he saw a coworker he was usually friendly with and reached out to pat them on the shoulder.
The coworker slowly turned around, but their face was covered in blood. Their eyeballs seemed to have been gouged out, and blood gushed from their eye sockets.
Bai Xi turned pale with fright, but then the coworker casually touched their left eye and smiled at him. "Sorry, I was in a hurry to see you as soon as possible, so I rushed out. I'll tidy myself up now."
He backed away in terror and bumped into someone else. A younger coworker hugged him from behind, lowered their head to smell him, and asked in confusion, "You smell like something illegal... Darling, who did you run into yesterday?"
From that day on, Bai Xi's world was turned upside down.
He tried to run, but no matter where he went, he was dragged back. Those "coworkers," who might be monsters or the living dead, stared at him with burning gazes, watching him every moment without a break.
Including the gloomy neighbor next door.
Because later, when Bai Xi checked the surveillance footage at his front door, he discovered that every day after midnight, the man would pick the lock and come inside.
