Abandoned Cat

This story centers on a group most of us have never encountered: orphans. Both protagonists grew up in an orphanage, and the story spans a long period, recording everything that happens to them from childhood to old age. I'm sorry, I'm writing about hardship again. But for my own selfish reasons, I added some heartwarming scenes in the latter half. In truth, "they" don't have such a bright future. Their stories are even more heartrending.

The story also features scavengers, vagrants, and families led astray in that era. They all live in obscure corners of the city, and we rarely learn what their lives are like. I hope that after reading this book, if you ever come across them, you'll stop and offer them some warmth, even if it's only a few words of encouragement and a heartfelt smile.

An Chenshen is a lovable mixed-race orphan. An Zimo is an insecure orphan with a birthmark on his face. They exchange a few words in the courtyard one afternoon, and from then on, their complicated yet sincere feelings ebb and flow, entangled for a lifetime in the current of time.

An Chenshen is loved by many, yet can never win An Zimo's love.

An Zimo has no one to love him, yet somehow can't see An Chenshen's burning love.

A passage from the story: "Why do people always go around in circles, only to end up back where or with whom they once desperately tried to escape?"

"Maybe it's so we can experience loss, realize what we once had, and finally learn to cherish it."

Theme: Be a sun, shining brightly and warming every dark corner of the city.
