I actually started writing this story by accident. It was an ordinary morning. As I stepped out of the elevator and walked toward the entrance of my apartment complex, I heard a man's voice behind me. His voice was so pleasant that I glanced back without thinking. I don't know if it was love at first sight, but I froze.
He wore black-rimmed glasses, a clean white T-shirt, and gray casual pants. He was very tall, with neatly trimmed short hair. A backpack hung from one shoulder as he talked on the phone. From that moment on, every male lead I'd ever written had a face. I watched him walk over to a gray Audi, get in, and drive away.
From that day on, every time I went out, I kept an eye out for that Audi. But I never saw him again.
And so, the story below came to be.
An utterly ordinary heroine falls in love at first sight with the male lead in her apartment complex. She comes up with all sorts of not-so-clever ways to spy on him, only to embarrass herself in front of him every time. She even writes him into an explicit danmei novel, and he finds out. Let's just say it's absolutely mortifying!
After the male lead rejects her, both openly and subtly, her best friend pulls off a series of wild schemes to help her out, and somehow she ends up giving her first kiss to the second male lead. That's right! Her first kiss goes to the second male lead!
When the heroine is heartbroken and ready to give up on the male lead, he inexplicably kisses her. And after kissing her, he refuses to take responsibility! What a jerk!
So, to get back at him, the heroine goes to meet the second male lead's parents, then goes to a hotel with him. That's right! It's the same old convenient second male lead. Don't get the wrong idea, he's just the second male lead, one who nearly stole the male lead's role. As for what the male lead is doing, he's washing gardenias.
This is a pretty lighthearted story, written purely for my own amusement. I let the heroine do the things I don't dare do myself. And that's that!
