But We're Brothers

As someone who awakened in his original world, Jiang Sheng was spotted by the Main System for his talent and put through an evaluation. He went on to become the best performer of the minor-character missions in various small worlds, winning the Best Minor-Character Mission Performer Award.

He returns in triumph, breaks free of his original, fictional world, and becomes a full-fledged mission-taker. (Only one NPC in the world awakened, so it doesn't count as a real world. It only counts as a fictional novel world. This setting is entirely made up.)

The Main System has high hopes for him. He gets promoted from minor-character missions to second male lead missions, and then to the male lead's sidekick missions. In other words, he has to be both the male lead's sidekick and the second male lead.

He doesn't mind. After all, he believes the capable should do more, and he's definitely an exceptionally talented person.

But only after taking on the next missions does he realize how hard they'll be. Why is something wrong in every world? Male lead, we're brothers, so why are you looking at me like that?

Jiang Sheng lets out a piercing shriek, and from then on, he completes every mission in increasingly absurd ways.

He's no longer the minor character he used to be, nor just a lowly mission-taker. In the small worlds, he takes on several roles at once: the male lead's sidekick, the second male lead in the early stages, and then the female lead later on, because the male lead isn't interested in her.

Mission takeaway: Since the male lead isn't interested in the female lead, I'll have to step in myself, as his brother!

From then on, the world's will comments:
