Reconciliation after a breakup | Double secret identities | Kept lover | Stealing someone's wife | Two powerful families |
Yang Jiayi had never suffered much in his life. Born into a family of diplomats, he went to the United States at eighteen and grew into an arrogant young man who thought he could get away with anything.
Less than a month after he returned home, his father cut off his credit cards, his mother hardened her heart, and his only brother sat in the car, laughing at him.
Yang Jiayi rolled up his sleeves and decided to make it on his own. In a year, he had built a business from nothing and become a hot new name.
A business partner invited him to a high-end restaurant to discuss a deal. The young woman serving the wine was working her first shift that day. Flustered, she spilled it all over Yang Jiayi.
She pulled out a handkerchief to wipe him off, but only made him wetter. The manager dragged her away and gave her a stern reprimand.
Thinking it was just a brief episode, Yang Jiayi finished discussing the deal and drove off. Then he came across a young woman.
She sat by the roadside with her trouser legs rolled up, crying so pitifully that anyone would feel for her. It was the same girl.
He sat in his car and smoked a cigarette. A pang of pity stirred in him, and from then on, he was lost.

Zhong Anxi was a sophomore at the Central Academy of Drama, terrible at all four disciplines: voice, speech, movement, and performance.
To pass her class, she went to Shichahai in the middle of the night to practice her lines, delivering them with full passion,
when a laugh interrupted her train of thought.
Someone emerged from a patch of reeds taller than a person, wearing casual clothes that could not conceal his air of privilege.
Unfortunately, Zhong Anxi failed to recognize a man of consequence. She dropped her script and fled in a panic.
Later, when Yang Jiayi found her,
she was hiding beneath the steps, hugging her knees and crying,
just as she had the last time he saw her, only this time she was even more distraught.
He asked her what she was crying about.
She glared at him viciously and cried even harder.
Yang Jiayi sighed. He had never met a girl who could cry quite so much.
The next day, Zhong Anxi made it through her teacher's tough examination unscathed.
That was also the day she learned that the man was called Yang Jiayi.
