The Fu and Ye families had been close for generations, going all the way back to their grandfathers.

They met again seven years after breaking up, at Fu Yanxiang's solo design exhibition.
The once rebellious, carefree boy now wore a perfectly tailored suit, and his features had acquired a mature steadiness.
He entered with flowers in his hands, only for Fu Yanxiang to give him a cold look and say, "Ye Ting, we're over."
Under everyone's gaze, Ye Ting showed no sign of dismay. He handed her the flowers with a composed smile. "Then, as a friend, I wish you success in your career."
Fu Yanxiang watched the unfamiliar figure disappear from sight, thinking they would never cross paths again.

The rain on a winter night was cold enough to seep into your bones.
After finishing work, Fu Yanxiang locked the studio door and was about to leave when someone emerged from a corner and pulled her into his arms.
The scent of rain mingled with the strong smell of alcohol, enveloping her.
Ye Ting's eyes were red as he asked in a tearful voice, "Xiangxiang, they say you're going to marry someone else. Is it true?"
Fu Yanxiang asked in return, "What if it is? What are you going to do?"
He answered without hesitation: "Crash the wedding. Or be your secret lover."
The light was dim, but his eyes shone with the tears welling in them. He looked utterly pitiful.
Fu Yanxiang gazed at him, both heartbroken and amused, and finally relented. "I was lying. I just wanted to make you jealous."
