Nineties Brat RPG

[A friend and I originally planned to ride the wave of period dramas and write a fantasy romance, but somehow we came up with this. How did I turn a period piece into a suspense game? I guess my comfort zone really is writing books that flop.]

You receive an RPG called "Relive Your Childhood."

In the 1990s, as reform and opening-up proceed in full swing, one residential compound remains eerily quiet.

As a mischievous kid, how could the protagonist tolerate such dead silence?

Everything in the compound can be interacted with. You can do all kinds of things to get the neighborhood buzzing and become the star of the bulletin board.

1. Steal your mom's lipstick and eyebrow pencil. From then on, every dog in the compound has thick eyebrows and bright red lips.

2. Change the alarm clock at the compound's radio station, making all the adults late. After eight, the leaders see an empty office and assume they weren't told about the holiday.

3. Plug up every briquette at your uncle's house. He spends the next two hours digging out a whole sack of pebbles.

The highest level of mischief is making trouble without getting caught. When your reputation drops below the threshold, every bad deed from then on will be blamed on you.

If you want to become a true master of mischief, you have to:

1. Loudly condemn the person who put makeup on the dogs, then help fetch a cloth to clean them, earning the title "Animal-Loving Good Kid."

2. While all the adults are late, wake up on time and remind them, earning the title "Good Kid with a Healthy Routine."

3. Loudly condemn the person who tampered with the briquettes, then provide a reliable clue to direct suspicion elsewhere, earning the title "Helpful Good Kid Who Loves to Work."
