After My Engagement Was Broken Off, I Found Out My Rival Was in Love With Me

Pu Han spent five years keeping her head down and maneuvering for advantage, but she still ended up getting her engagement called off.

Her fiancée pointed to a photo of Ye Jingtong and claimed she'd found true love.

The more Pu Han looked, the more familiar she seemed. Wasn't she the aloof, arrogant class representative from middle school?

So she was playing the other woman now, too.

Pu Han showed up to pick a fight. Ye Jingtong handed her a business card. "Are you here to bid on behalf of the Yao Group, President Pu? Welcome."

Her smile was faint. She was nothing like the person who used to call Pu Han "boring and low-class."

Pu Han lifted her chin, putting on the airs of Yao Fangfeng's fiancée. "That's right. I'm looking for a second wife. You're beautiful, President Ye, so you're just the right fit."

Ye Jingtong coldly snatched her card back.

Later, Yao Fangfeng drove Pu Han out of the city so completely that there was nowhere left for her in Z City.

On the eve of a heavy storm, Pu Han was left homeless on the street.

Ye Jingtong held out an umbrella at the end of an alley and reached out to her. "I'm hiring. Interested?"

The rain was cold against her skin. Pu Han stepped beneath her umbrella.

Pu Han knew Ye Jingtong held a grudge. This so-called job offer was just a way to torment her.

But Ye Jingtong hadn't mentioned that she'd have to get up early every day, or that she'd be taking on the roles of personal secretary, driver, nanny, and gaming buddy all at once!

What's more, Ye Jingtong was always eyeing Pu Han's fingers like a hungry predator.

...No matter how beautiful Ye Jingtong was, Pu Han absolutely would not sleep with her!

Pu Han made up her mind: Either fire me, or else.

Ye Jingtong took her hand and led her downstairs. "Did you do all this for Yao Fangfeng back then?"

Later still, Pu Han found the second button from her school uniform in Ye Jingtong's safe.

That's when she realized Ye Jingtong had been after her from the very beginning.
