After the Guilty Girl Was Bound to the Eminent Ministers System

Chen Shengnan transmigrates into the body of a disgraced official's daughter who has been exiled. Just as bandits are about to assault her, she gets bound to the Famous Ministers System.

System: "Our goal is to make you a renowned minister for the ages! Host, rescue Zhang Chen, the Vice Minister of Revenue, who is tied up next door. Complete the mission to receive a cross-dressing outfit!"

Chen Shengnan pretends to surrender to the bandits. Not only does she rescue Zhang Chen, she also saves the other women. Just as Zhang Chen is about to apologize to her, he hears her say to the women she rescued, "From now on, you're all my wives!"

Zhang Chen: "..."

Chen Shengnan lives it up with her wives. Meanwhile, her meritorious role in suppressing the bandits catches the eye of influential people, and she rises through the ranks, much to Zhang Chen's fury.

Zhang Chen snaps, "Lord Chen, your conduct is a disgrace to the principles of officialdom!"

With one arm around a younger wife, Chen Shengnan replies nonchalantly, "Lord Zhang, are you secretly in love with me? It's fine, I like men too. We could have a secret affair."

Zhang Chen storms off, absolutely livid.

Chen Shengnan accomplishes countless feats and overcomes every obstacle to bring down the most powerful corrupt official at court. Just as everyone is preparing to curry favor with her, someone exposes her as a woman. The court erupts, and everyone submits accusations against her, except for Zhang Chen, who stands up for her.

On the very day she is sentenced to death, Chen Shengnan mysteriously disappears. The court searches for her for days without success, but her story is written into illustrated books and spreads throughout the land, celebrated by all.

With her gone, Zhang Chen is heartbroken. Then a stiff, strange voice sounds beside his ear.

"Connected to [Zhang Chen]... Please wait..."

Then comes the voice he would recognize even if it came from a ghost.

"Lord Zhang, will you marry me?"

In the end, with the Zhu dynasty beset by foreign enemies, the officials petition for Chen Shengnan to return. She becomes the only female regent in history.
