The craziest thing Sheng Miao ever did was bring a handsome young bartender home with her.

She thought it would be just one wild night, but she never expected to get hooked.

The bartender came from a poor family and had dropped out of school early, but he was equally at home entertaining guests and cooking in the kitchen. Sheng Miao was completely won over, body and soul, and in a rush of passion, told him to be hers.

They began a three-month trial relationship.

When their relationship was at its sweetest, Sheng Miao was planning to pay for him to go back to school. But after learning that the bartender was her younger brother's best friend and college roommate, she immediately broke up with him in the middle of the night and dragged her suitcase home.

Before breaking up, Sheng Miao accused the other party of lying, warned Lu Rang not to let Sheng Yan find out, and blocked every way he could contact her.

She hid at home, getting ready to end her lease and move.

It was summer vacation, and Lu Rang came over to see Sheng Yan.

He cornered her in a dim alcove.

With only a wall between them and Sheng Yan, they kissed as if the world had fallen away.

He pressed against her lips, breathing unevenly. "You don't want Sheng Yan to know?"

"Is it exciting, Miao Miao?"

Lu Rang had been in love for years with someone: his best friend's older sister.

When they met again three years later, Sheng Miao no longer recognized him.

From the night she brought him home, he had no intention of ever letting her go.

He would do whatever it took, use every trick in the book, to have her.
