I Got a Happy Ending After Forcing the Demon Lord

[Updates paused. Don't wait for it.]

Only on the verge of death did Tan Qiushui learn that she was a disposable character in a story.

After accidentally bonding with a life-saving System, she learned one good thing and one bad thing as she tried to change her early-death fate.

Good news: She's the biological younger sister of the Dragon Proud-Heaven male lead, so her chances of surviving are pretty good.

Bad news: She has to win over a sickly, scheming demon seed, and might die very soon.

Tan Qiushui, single since birth: )

Why don't you just kill me instead?

The antagonist, Yu Wuyan, seems sickly and withdrawn, a sweet little angel who inspires pity. In reality, he's a black-sesame-filled rice ball.

By all the usual rules, he should be hard to approach.

But that's okay.

Tan Qiushui gathered her courage, showed up with a marriage contract in hand, and successfully became Yu Wuyan's fiancee.

When Yu Wuyan was bedridden, she brewed his medicine.

When he was too frail to walk, she carried him.

She was playing the part of a deeply devoted lover.

In reality, she gave him too much medicine and nearly sent him to an early grave.

And when she carried him while pursuing him, she jostled him so badly he nearly fainted.

After all that, Yu Wuyan still hadn't turned evil.

Staring at the affection score that hadn't gone up at all, Tan Qiushui was the first to turn evil.

From then on, she let herself go and stopped holding back. Whenever she got the chance, she fondled and squeezed the scheming black-sesame rice ball.

Then she turned around and accused him first, seeking shelter from his beloved senior sister, the white moonlight of his heart, who was also Tan Qiushui's future sister-in-law.

Yu Wuyan's face had just been rubbed red, and now he was being accused of blushing with embarrassment. “...?”

She wasn't even pretending to be considerate and kind anymore.

Hah, who would like someone as awful as her?

System: “...”

You talk a big game. Let's see you keep that affection score from going up!

You thought you wanted redemption, but turns out you like being forced: )

Note: My own take on fantasy, with lots of original worldbuilding.

Optimistic, goofy sweetheart x sickly, clingy, scheming beauty (?)

This is a practice romance story. If I manage to finish drafting the whole thing, I'll resume updates. I'm not sure yet, so please don't wait for it.

Theme: No tricks, just sincerity.
