Lost in the Clouds

[No ideas yet, not sure when I'll start] [Shou POV] [Weak gong, strong shou]

At the class reunion after the college entrance exams, Bai Jiu gets drunk and lets the truth slip. Only then does Cen Shimu learn that her girlfriend of two years has a white moonlight she can never have. Bai Jiu had pursued her first, then grown hot and cold after they got together, and their relationship had gone no further than holding hands, all because Cen Shimu looked a little like her white moonlight. Bai Jiu treated her as a substitute for that person while staying chaste for the sake of her white moonlight.

How could Miss Cen put up with such an insult? After taking brutal revenge on her cheating ex, she remembers how she'd once discussed with her ex where they'd go to school after graduation. She'd gone through every university in the capital, but now the thought of staying there makes her sick, so she applies to a school in her mother's hometown.

Then, at the opening ceremony, she hears a familiar name.

The white moonlight her ex had constantly pined for.

Cen Shimu suddenly remembers that Bai Jiu didn't transfer to her high school until their second year. The place she'd attended school before transferring seemed to be the same place as her mother's hometown.

As she looks at the freshman representative onstage, Cen Shimu's gaze turns hostile.

At first, Cen Shimu thinks the only good thing about Chao Wu is her face.

Cen Shimu: "Who knew Bai Jiu could be so shallow?"

Later, Cen Shimu finds that Chao Wu is impossible to understand or read, like a figure in the clouds, with only an outline visible and no clear details.

Cen Shimu: "What on earth is she thinking?"

Then, Cen Shimu starts to understand why Bai Jiu was so devoted to this white moonlight.

Cen Shimu: "She's kind of cute."

Finally, Cen Shimu realizes her ex had excellent taste, but...

Cen Shimu: "Your white moonlight is wonderful. She's mine now."

The blurb may be revised after the story begins, but the central premise won't change. [Note from 2024.2.12]
