After failing too many missions, 619 is at risk of being erased.
To avoid being erased, 619 applied for the recently popular Child-Raising Mode.
He even spent three thousand points to bond with a Host touted as a little angel just like a Samoyed.
[System binding successful. Congratulations, Host, you have received a second life.]
At first, 619 simply read the lines as written, introducing the mission to the Host.
But halfway through, he stumbled over his words because his Host barked.
Host: "Woof!"
619: ?
619 looked at the Host's profile.
[Name: Liya]
[Gender: Female]
[Species: Samoyed]
He... He had clearly bound himself to a Host who was said to be a little angel like a Samoyed,
not an actual Samoyed... right?
619 couldn't unbind himself, so he had no choice but to coax the puppy into completing the mission.
But he hadn't expected the Child-Raising Mode to malfunction because his Host was a puppy.
They were supposed to be sent to the villain's childhood and raise him, but...
[$-@#+)?]
619 typed out a string of gibberish in shock.
Why was this villain already a grown-up, an absolute supervillain?!
Innocent, adorable little puppy Liya happily ran toward the fearsome villain.
Then, with a "Pop!", the villain shrank into a little kid.
619: ?
Big... Little Villain: ?
The System and the villain were both utterly baffled. Only the puppy was happy.
619 gradually figured out how this bugged Child-Raising Mode worked.
When the puppy got close to the target, the villain was forcibly turned into a child.
The little villain kept all his memories and some of his abilities.
Liya: "Run! Bad guys!"
Then the puppy grabbed the little villain in her mouth and took off running.
The underlings mistaken for bad guys: ???
[...Maybe I should get my affairs in order and prepare to be buried.]
619 was ready to give up. He went out for a stroll, but when he came back, he saw that the little villain had turned into a dog too, though more of a "love-struck puppy."
619 watched the villains grovel without a shred of dignity or self-respect, doing whatever it took to make the puppy happy. All the puppy had to do was wag her tail and smile at them, and they would collapse to the ground in bliss.
Villains: Ah~ My little puppy really is an angel~!
Liya: "Woof!"
Villain: Got it, the puppy wants a treat. Buy one!
Liya: "Woof!"
Villain: Got it, the puppy wants to play a game. Let's play!
619 watched the villains wait on the puppy hand and foot and felt a little jealous.
It wasn't as if he couldn't buy treats and play with the puppy too!
Liya: "Woof!"
Villain: Got it, the puppy wants to conquer the world. I'll give it to her right away.
619 refused to be outdone.
[It's just conquering the world. I can do that too... Hm?]
Something seemed off.
The villains were still the same villains, but somehow things felt different.
Their world had once been dark and gloomy. It only changed after this sunny, adorable puppy barged in.
It was as if a ray of light had fallen into their hands, and they couldn't help but grow attached to that warmth.
Reader's Guide:
1. The romance only appears in the middle and later parts. The love interest is nonhuman.
2. The dog still speaks in barks. The System just installed translators for itself and the person being redeemed.
3. The dog spends most of her time as a dog. She can turn human, but only to eat things dogs can't eat or do things dogs can't do, so there's not much human in her.
4. The dog has a pretty overpowered ability! She's doted on by everyone, and she's a happy puppy!
5. The dog's definition of a two-legged creature is pretty vague. Some two-legged creatures with nonhuman traits will appear, and they'll be both male and female.
