Chinese Gods Are My Cheat Skill

After Jiang Yaochu graduated from high school, she went on a week-long trip with friends. When she came back, her mother had disappeared.

Just before she was about to call the police, a package arrived from her mother: strange wooden carvings of ghosts and gods, dried-up parasitic insects, amber with strands of hair inside, bloodsucking medicinal herbs...

One day, Jiang Yaochu was opening a package at the delivery station.

A fearsome, heavily tattooed man strode toward her and dropped to his knees.

Jiang Yaochu: ?

Bystanders: (⊙o⊙)

The tattooed man immediately howled, "Young Miss Jiang! Help me!"

The things in the package had just fallen out: a bank card and a letter.

It took Jiang Yaochu eighteen years to realize that her mother, Jiang Yu, wasn't the nine-to-five office worker she'd imagined.

The good news: Her mom owns a company worth hundreds of millions.

The bad news: The company doesn't do anything remotely materialist.

The even worse news: After leaving behind a bank card with thirty million in cash and that letter, Jiang Yu vanished completely. One after another, her clients started showing up at Jiang Yaochu's door.

"Young Miss Jiang! Please save us!!!"

"Seriously," Jiang Yaochu said in despair, "my mom never taught me how to ward off evil, catch ghosts, or suppress malevolent gods!"

But later, Jiang Yaochu discovers... Hm? Can I actually do that?

After being chased by an evil god and driven into a desperate corner, Jiang Yaochu cries out, "Bodhisattva, save me!" Before her very eyes, a huge, ethereal white figure appears, holding a purifying vase and sprinkling down sweet dew.

Client: That's it! Exactly! This is Boss Jiang's signature move: summoning a god!

Jiang Yaochu: ?!
