Falling in Love

[A short story to lighten the mood]

You've always been the well-behaved child in the eyes of adults, the gifted student who never makes a mistake in the eyes of your classmates, and a clueless fool about romance in the eyes of your friends.

Your studies go smoothly, your life is calm and uneventful, until one summer vacation when you doze off in the library with a book in your arms. Half asleep, you hear someone whisper in your ear, "I will love you forever."

When you wake up, it's ten years later. You've gone from a teenager to a twenty-five-year-old husband.

You're married, to a man.

You can't accept it.

He holds you close, his lowered gaze filled with a tenderness you can hardly believe. "I will love you forever."

You say, "Let's get divorced."

A resilient genius bottom × a rich heir top who has been rejected by the bottom so often he's almost lost all self-confidence.

Probably a romance about marriage. The bottom is straight and gets turned gay, and doesn't fall for him until almost the end. Happy ending.

Written in third person.
