Hide-and-Seek

[Draft in progress. It probably won't be very long.] 1 One afternoon, he packed Ye Xiwei's things, secretly slipping in his good-luck charm, the shawl he'd spent days sewing, and a pair of wrist guards. Ye Xiwei grumbled from the other side of the room, "Dude, your place has bad feng shui! I keep losing at games, and my teammates don't admire me anymore!" He went over and played for him, but couldn't concentrate and lost even more badly. Ye Xiwei puffed up his cheeks. He hurriedly found the antique model sailing ship he'd treasured since childhood and gave it to him to cheer him up. Ye Xiwei happily set off on his journey. He waited for Ye Xiwei to come back, but soon got the news: Ye Xiwei had died at sea, leaving no remains. 2 Strange things had been happening one after another recently, and a supernatural case was transferred to the Paranormal Investigation Bureau. Zhao Zexu discovered that... the suspected "person" was probably the one he'd secretly loved, who had died. The people at the Paranormal Investigation Bureau couldn't understand it. Why had that big shot, who was impossible to persuade to come back, suddenly returned? And why was he frantically searching for someone who didn't even exist? Then, one day, the strange occurrences began again. The one who'd been playing hide-and-seek with them appeared in a way they never could have imagined... "He's turned into a thumb-sized person and entered the crime scene!" [If humanity were no longer at the top of the food chain one day... would a little monster like you be a predator or prey?] [I think I can hide.] * Mysterious parkour-loving shou (Ye Xiwei), doting father-type gong (Zhao Zexu) The gong is ten years older than the shou. An alternate modern setting. Both the gong and shou have special abilities, and the shou hasn't committed any crimes. Odd, mildly frightening little stories and supernatural tales. Not a particularly serious mystery novel. Happy ending. The first draft was posted on December 1. Revisions to the blurb are recorded. It may be adjusted a little before the novel starts, but the character concepts won't change. Theme: .
