After Cross-Dressing to Bring Good Fortune to a Sinister Eunuch, He Got Me Pregnant

Huailing, the emperor's favorite and a powerful chief eunuch, had been beset by bad luck lately, so he ordered the Imperial Astronomical Bureau to cast a divination.

The Bureau observed the stars that night and said he needed to find a particular person in a particular place and marry them to turn his luck around.

That very night, Huailing sent people to seize the person the Bureau had identified and drag them back, bound hand and foot. Early the next morning, he tossed them into a bridal sedan.

Everyone knew that Huailing, the Director of the Directorate of Ceremonial Affairs, was cruel and sinister, suspicious and cold, and fond of torture.

Surely this bride would soon be found dead in the wilderness.

But after a long wait, no news of the bride came. Instead, people noticed that a man had appeared at Huailing's side.

He was tall, long-legged, broad-shouldered and slim-waisted, with a remarkably beautiful face. Huailing doted on him.

Huailing found that his luck had indeed improved a great deal since the marriage. He had no interest in women, though, so he kept the beauty by his side.

But the stammering beauty was always getting bullied and couldn't even win an argument.

Helpless, Huailing thought of sending him away. But then he got drunk and spent the night with him.

Early the next morning, he rose, supporting his sore and aching waist. He was just about to have the dog of a man who had tricked him into bed killed when he saw that man standing obediently in the snow, begging him not to send him away.

Huailing was just about to have him driven off when the man fainted in the snow.

Seeing how timid and tongue-tied he was, Huailing took pity on him and let him stay at the residence. He kept him there until he ended up pregnant.

He also happened to see the seemingly frail man who had once begged him not to kill him and couldn't even win an argument draw his sword and kill more than ten assassins. In a cold voice, he said, "How dare you lay a hand on my man?"

Only later did Huailing learn that the man had never stuttered.

All these years, Huailing had worried about him and sent people to care for him everywhere he went. And this little wolf cub had been pretending to be a woman to trick him, then gotten himself pregnant?

A seemingly stammering, pitiful, scheming and manipulative prince × a seemingly cruel and violent, but kind-hearted, powerful eunuch official

1. The bottom is a eunuch, but not a real eunuch. He has a mild harem-protagonist tendency.
