The Detective Queen

Fanette arrives in an alternate nineteenth-century world. When she opens her eyes in this unfamiliar country, she has become a little girl who was starving to death and had been struck by a carriage, left on the verge of death.

From then on, she drifts from place to place, working as a maid, a newsboy, and an assistant to a stage actress...

In this age when liberalism is gradually awakening, should she keep to her profession as a detective?

As the years pass, Detective Fanette grows more famous, eventually attracting the attention of the royal family.

"Miss Detective, please investigate an important matter. It is confidential."

She is asked to investigate the royal infant who went missing years ago, the current king's only daughter.

After going through countless twists and turns to uncover the truth, Fanette is astonished to discover that the infant is none other than herself.

To avoid being caught up in trouble, Fanette chooses to keep this earth-shattering secret to herself. During the lengthy investigation, she also offends many royal nobles while solving other cases, and is repeatedly harassed and persecuted.

Later, Fanette finally sees things clearly:

With the queen's authority, both access to information and the efficiency of investigations are on a whole different level.

"Why insist on being either a detective or a queen? Why not be both?"

"Detective by profession, queen on the side."
