Tsundere, fussy shou x older, daddy-type gong
Shen Ru Chen no longer had a brother. His brother died beneath a gloomy curtain of rain, waiting for Li Yun Zhan's reinforcements that never came. Meanwhile, Li Yun Zhan's older brother ascended the throne amid music and ceremony.
Li Yun Zhan grieved Shen Ru Chen's brother no less than Shen Ru Chen did. He had been the friend who shared a piece of jujube and Chinese yam cake with him as a child, and the sworn brother who jumped without hesitation after Li Yun Zhan fell off a cliff while hunting as a teenager. But he couldn't spend every day in grief. His older brother needed his support, and he also had to take good care of his friend's little brother.
Shen Ru Chen couldn't forgive him, much less accept that he would have to move into Li Yun Zhan's prince's residence and be taken care of by him. It was just like being forced to live as a dependent in the home of the person he hated most. Li Yun Zhan was overbearing, domineering, and unreasonable, nothing like his own older brother, who had been gentle and refined.
Every time Shen Ru Chen tried to run away, Li Yun Zhan and his men caught him and brought him back. Every time, Li Yun Zhan gave the same reason: “You're still young. When you're able to make your own way, if you haven't left by then, I'll kick you out myself.”
But as Shen Ru Chen's coming-of-age day drew near, an unexpected mishap occurred. Shen Ru Chen thought it was unfair that his brother lay buried beneath the earth while Li Yun Zhan enjoyed wealth and success. So he wouldn't leave. He would stay in the prince's residence and get in Li Yun Zhan's way. (Li Yun Zhan: When have I ever thought you were in my way?)
Warnings
1. I'm still not very good at writing warnings.
2. I don't think this story has anything to warn about.
3. That's all for now. If someone complains, I'll add more later. (That probably won't happen.)
