Ruan You was taken in by Central Tower because of his hyperthymesia. Growing up surrounded only by stern adults left him withdrawn.
When Central Tower realized how serious the problem was, they forged a Guide differentiation certificate for him and sent him to the Sentinel-Guide Academy so he could meet people his own age.
But Ruan You still kept to himself. His striking looks gave him plenty of opportunities to fit in, but he habitually turned down every friendly approach, to an almost outrageous degree.
Until he suddenly differentiated as a Sentinel and went berserk in the medical room, breaking through a wall. With his vision blurred and unable to see anything, he instinctively sought comfort and burrowed into someone's arms.
When he woke up, he learned that the person was the academy's top Sentinel, who had long ranked first in overall ability. Through a series of coincidences, they ended up in the same dorm room, and their romance began as if fate had brought them together.
Ruan You found it sweet, but also troublesome. Central Tower had sent him to make friends, not get a boyfriend!
So when Central Tower reassigned him to a mission, the gorgeous man, completely confused about the situation, left a breakup message and disappeared without a trace.
They met again at a meeting after the zombie outbreak. Lu Junyu, newly appointed as the chief, appeared in the conference room. His gaze swept over the room and settled only on Ruan You.

What could he do? Of course he held him first. After one hug, he couldn't bear to let go. Lu Junyu's heart pounded, and he was so thrilled his brain practically went numb. With a little maneuvering, he finally got the gorgeous man to move into his dorm room.
The beauty was aloof with everyone else, but trusted him alone, like a baby bird. Lu Junyu seized his chance and pursued him with all his might. Once they got together, he thought he was the luckiest person in the world.
Until the beauty vanished without warning. After the sudden breakup, Lu Junyu felt like the unluckiest person in the world.
They met again at a Central Tower conference. His beloved Ruan You, whom he'd thought about every day and night, sat across from him, thin and pale. Blood seeped through the sleeves of his white uniform. He looked beautiful and fragile.
Damn it, who tricked his precious baby away after he'd been taking such good care of him, only to neglect him like this?!
