Between Working and Getting Ahead, I Choose to Hang Myself

Blurb:

At sixteen, Dazai Osamu obtains a "book" and gains the power to change the world.

At twenty-two, Dazai Osamu leaps from a rooftop, ready to embrace the happy ending he has long awaited. But the moment he opens his eyes, he meets a pair of emerald-green eyes gazing at him from beside his hospital bed.

Dazai: ?

Ranpo: Oh, Dazai, you're awake? You should be pretty much better now, right?

Dazai: ??

Ranpo: If you're feeling better, buy me some snacks. The great detective wants some traditional sweets.

Dazai: ???

Dazai Osamu carefully looks around the room, realizing that the badly injured person with bandages wrapped around his arm is probably him.

Dazai Osamu, not the one from the Armed Detective Agency, cautiously asks, "Um? I think I'm the one who's injured, right?"

Ranpo nods. "Isn't that obvious?"

Dazai points at Ranpo lying in the bed. "Then why are you lying in my hospital bed?"

Dazai: ?

Is the afterlife really this wild?

Warnings:

The leader Dazai, a dark and twisted version from the IF timeline, ends up in the Armed Detective Agency timeline and merges with that version. He can be a bit of a jerk, so if you can't handle a jerk Dazai, please don't read.

Changes the timeline in which Oda Sakunosuke dies.

A crossover, medium-to-long-length story.

Pairing: Edogawa Ranpo

Who gets it? I really love the Armed Detective Agency's dynamic duo.

Theme: Dazai: At the Armed Detective Agency, I had to choose between going to work and hanging myself seriously
