Mending a Broken Mirror

Three years after their breakup, Jiang Chun accidentally sent a message to her ex-boyfriend.

--Are you still single?

She realized ten minutes after sending it that she'd messaged the wrong person, and it was already too late to unsend it.

Jiang Chun froze for a few seconds, then decided to leave it alone.

It wasn't until after work that she picked up her phone again. Several new messages were waiting.

18:23

--What's it to you?

20:30

--Single.

01:34

--Don't get the wrong idea. I'm single because I can't be bothered to date.

04:10

--Jiang Chun, is messing with me fun?

Holding her phone, Jiang Chun tried to remember which of her ex-boyfriends this was. At last, she recalled.

It was the handsomest, richest, most stubborn one.

When they'd broken up, he'd walked away more casually than anyone.

Jiang Chun replied: Sorry, wrong person.

Then she blocked him immediately.

Half a month later, the company's former boss stepped down. She heard the new one was young, arrogant, and not someone to mess with.

Jiang Chun was unfazed. She worked hard, diligent as an ox. No matter how difficult the new boss was, he wouldn't have a reason to pick on her.

Until the day the new boss took over.

Her heart sank.

Oh no.

It was the ex she'd just blocked.

This man was a master of abusing his power to get revenge.

Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted x slow to catch on to love
