The Cat's Gratitude

[The story next door is moving too slowly, so I casually wrote this little story to unwind. It's short and updates irregularly, so enter at your own risk.]

I died.

Then I came back to life.

As a cat.

A cat belonging to my former classmate, no less.

To keep from giving myself away, I had no choice but to become his cat, putting up with it as best I could.

Every day, I enjoy being waited on and spend all my time with him.

He bathes me, cooks for me, and takes me to meet new friends.

He takes me to... get spayed??

I scratched him, so he got vaccinated. Someone took a liking to me, but her cat didn't, saying I was ugly.

As if! I'm a princess among cats, a pedigree Ragdoll worth tens of thousands.

Though in the eyes of my fellow cats, I'm unbelievably ugly.

I'm dejected.

He holds me and tells me I'm adorable.

From that day on, he tells me a hundred times a day.

Mm, I really am adorable, meow~ :-D

Only later did I remember that he was allergic to cat fur.

It turned out he'd been getting desensitization shots and taking medicine all along.

After becoming his cat, I realized he loved me more than life itself.

Too bad I'm already dead.

Bad ending.

A little story about healing old wounds and making up for regrets~
