Chiseling Open Chaos to Discern the Ways of the World

An INFP's unhinged work. An old draft. A spin-off idea based on the myth that "Chaos died after the seven apertures were chiseled into him," filling in Chaos's painful inner journey a little.

I'm posting it because I suddenly wanted to see if anyone else has tastes as bizarre as mine x

(My weird tastes include a pure-hearted character turning evil, a god dying, a naive protagonist being crushed, faith being destroyed, and then the character slowly rising in the darkness or simply saying goodbye to the world... Damn, it makes me emo, but I really love writing it x)

Chaos has no gender, so I selected "unknown."

I really like Zhuangzi, but I have to say that the beautiful, harmonious society he describes in ancient times never existed. Primitive people had no sense of morality; the more ancient the era, the worse it was. If Chaos were a god in ancient times, suddenly gained awareness, and saw the truth of that savage society, he'd have to be depressed.

Pangu as a figure first appeared during the Five Dynasties, much later than ancient gods like Chaos. From an academic standpoint, Chaos should have been dead for a long time before Pangu appeared. (Also, the legend of Nuwa creating the world appeared much earlier than the legend of Pangu creating heaven and earth. I don't accept Pangu as the creator god.) The plot requires these two to talk, so don't overthink it.

Lately, I've felt dissatisfied with the ending, so I'll revise it.

Theme: Without emotion, one is strong; with emotion, one suffers.
