Boqi Eats Dreams

On October 25, 2021, I happened to learn about the story of Zhang Congshun, a narcotics officer from Lincang, Yunnan, and his family. Zhang Congshun died in the line of duty. His three sons were devastated, but all chose to become police officers. His third son, Zhang Ziquan, was also a narcotics officer. He died from overwork, leaving behind a daughter who was only four years old. His family couldn't bear to tell her the truth, so she kept sending voice messages on WeChat, asking where her dad had gone.

I feel so sorry for this little girl. Will she have nightmares when she learns how terrifying drug traffickers are one day?

I hope Boqi can eat her nightmares.

I saw a line on my phone's random wallpaper selection: "If you have an ominous dream at night, paint it on the western wall. When the sun shines on it, it will turn auspicious." I thought it suited this story, so I wrote this short piece.

Theme: Inspired by a true story.
