[Western Crossover] What's It Like to Live Next Door to Nightwing?

Another winter night. Listening to XTC's "Then She Appeared" gave me inspiration.

Also known as The Blue Hour.

But this title is more likely to catch the eye. :D

It was a winter when a cold snap came unusually early. Saames Gregory got off work and left the pub at the same time as always: six ten in the morning. The sky was still dark then, and everything was quiet. On a day more ordinary than any other, she noticed something new.

A new neighbor had moved in next door, where there had always been nothing but empty space. He looked like a young man about her age, at least on the outside.

That is where the story begins.

"Have you ever heard of the blue hour?" Saames asked.

She looked into his eyes. At that moment, everything in the world fell asleep.

The familiar me, the familiar Bat Family, an unfamiliar third-person narrative. w

Probably a realistic slice-of-life story, with a plot, but not much of one. Please go easy on me.

Lots of original settings and original characters. There may be out-of-character moments, so canon purists beware.

The pairing will probably be with the eldest Wayne son, barring any surprises. The pacing may be fast or slow, and there may be emotionally painful plotlines, so read with care.

The heroine isn't particularly capable, has a bad personality, and has plenty of flaws. But she is still my beloved creation. You don't have to like her, but please don't insult her.

A random idea, started on a whim. No outline and no saved chapters. I'll write as I go, and whatever it turns into, it turns into. I hope you can like it, if you can look past my shamelessness. w

Theme: The protagonists heal one another.
