[Fantastic Beasts | HP] June Bug

"June bug is a rare and remarkable plant, found mostly across the three great peninsulas of Southern Europe. From 1855 to 1900, it was listed as an endangered magical plant. Its flower buds look remarkably like insect cocoons, and it blooms only in June each year, producing flowers shaped like butterfly wings, which is how it got its name. Legend says this plant is the embodiment of a butterfly spirit trapped by love. Once it matures, it never withers; only when its owner finds true love will its butterfly-wing petals fly away from the flower receptacle.", Excerpt from A Guide to Magical Plants, by Elia Mitter Fitzroy.

"Elia Mitter, what does your name mean?"

"It comes from the Tarot card Temperance, and represents wisdom and contemplation."

"Anything else?"

"Also, unrequited love."

Read at your own risk:

Age gap. Apologies for OOC. Canon purists, proceed with caution. Most of the magical plants are made up by me.

Theus/Rita is not canon; all other pairings are unchanged. A lot of original content. Warning: this has almost nothing to do with the movies.

Everything about astrology comes from books and research. I'm a complete Muggle, so thanks in advance for being understanding (crying).

Trying third person. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. Planned to end at 200,000 words (or not). Please don't read if it's not your thing. Thanks, everyone!
