My Years at Jujutsu High

"This book is a memoir, a recollection of my chaotic student days."

*

I'd only been in Tokyo for a few days when a strange guy stopped me on the street. He wanted me to join him at a vocational school.

I didn't know my way around yet, and I was so startled that I looked from his topknot to his squinty eyes, then from his squinty eyes to his big earlobes, and suddenly understood.

"Sorry, classmate," I said. "I don't believe in religion or Buddhism. I want to get into a good high school and then go to a good university."

In the end, I still went to the technical college. On my first day there, I made three rules for myself:

First, I couldn't let my grades in regular subjects slip. After graduation, I had to keep studying at a proper school.

Second, I had to behave myself at boarding school: no skipping class, fighting, or staying out all night.

Third, no dating. At the very least, not a foreigner, and definitely not a sorcerer.

On the first day, in our very first class, the whole school was beating each other with wooden sticks.

Me: "...Huh?"

Later, that fox-faced upperclassman said, "I like you. Will you go out with me?"

Me: "...Huh??"

Suguru Geto said, "Just the usual summer blues."

I said, "The right path in this world is full of hardship."

I wanted to write some high school romance between a DK and a JK. There are some original settings, and the story doesn't follow the original plot exactly. Be warned for out-of-character moments.

The main story is a memoir that's both funny and dark. It follows my own carefree logic, so read at your own risk.

It's probably going to be a happy ending where everyone at the technical college survives. There will be lots of original and heavily altered plotlines, so proceed with caution if that bothers you.

The female lead has a golden finger. She's beautiful, strong, and tragic, but she's not purely kind, isn't especially likable, and isn't perfect. If you can't handle that, run.

The pairing is squinty-eyed Suguru Geto, the fox. The romance progresses very slowly, but the feelings go both ways. Please leave lots of comments!

2024:

I'm planning to write more Jujutsu Kaisen! But I've forgotten all the original settings, outlines, timeline, and character profiles, sob... So I'm planning to rewrite it.

I've decided to change the main story into a memoir of the heroine's days at the technical college. The happy ending will be my own fantasy: everyone survives, both teachers raise a child, and they have a funny domestic life. The bad ending will follow the original defection plotline. Each version will have its own separate bonus chapters, so you can choose which one to read.

I hope you enjoy it! Happy New Year! All the best!
