The Underworld King's Sacrificial Beauty

Qi You was sickly from birth and had terrible luck.

Qi You had a secret: for generations, his clan had been loyal to the Great Emperor of Fengdu. Whenever the need arose, a descendant of the Qi family had to become an offering to His Highness the King of the Underworld.

A thousand years ago, one of the Qi family ancestors was offered to the King of the Underworld. They say that on the day of the sacrifice, the King devoured him completely, leaving not a trace of his bones.

·

On Qi You's eighteenth birthday, a "Vortex" appeared.

A "Vortex" is a cursed place formed from a gathering of Yin rage.

Only the sacrifice of a living person who could satisfy the King of the Underworld could quell the rage within the Vortex.

As a descendant of the Qi family, Qi You had no choice but to become an offering to His Highness the King of the Underworld.

·

After Qi You was sacrificed, his family was heartbroken. They thought he would soon become gaunt, his meridians would be depleted, and he would die of exhaustion.

Who would have guessed that Qi You would grow rosier by the day, like a withered tree watered by sweet rain, ushered into the springtime of his life?

No one knew that every night, after he fell fast asleep, a tall, handsome man with a gloomy gaze would appear in Qi You's room.

The man stroked his body with a broad, icy hand. Though he looked at him as an offering, his gaze was tender and lingering.

He whispered softly, "You are the beloved I have waited a thousand years for..."
