Be Good

Proud young tyrant with a devil-may-care streak vs. reserved, taciturn little stutterer

Jian Yun transferred to a new high school because of her mother's job relocation.

The schools were following different curricula, so she spent a few days catching up on her studies before realizing something was a little off.

Her deskmate seemed like he had never said a word.

-

Jian Yun had a bad temper. On her first day, she cursed out the people surrounding her deskmate, Jiang Jin, and demanding money from him.

Later, she noticed that Jiang Jin seemed to keep sneaking glances at her.

She wasn't one to beat around the bush, so she immediately shot back, "Keep staring and I'll charge you."

To her surprise, Jiang Jin shakily pulled a stack of hundred-yuan bills out of his schoolbag and handed it to her.

...?

That night, Jian Yun's Baidu search history gained a new query: "Is it illegal to accept a large sum of money for no reason?"

-

Only later did Jian Yun gradually figure out Jiang Jin's motive. He wanted to be her lackey.

Jian Yun raised her chin proudly. "So what do you have going for you? Not just anyone can be my lackey."

Jiang Jin lowered his head and stammered out, "I-I'm very o-obedient."

He only listened to Jian Yun.

"I-I also have some m-money you can... spend."

He only spent his money on Jian Yun, too.

Reader's guide:

1. A short, sweet, one-on-one romance. Not a long story.

2. The male lead is sexually inexperienced and emotionally devoted.

3. Both leads are adults. There is no intimacy during their school years.

4. In the author's view, any one-on-one romance counts as pure love, so the general tone will probably still involve the heroine being playful and messing with the hero. Don't read if that bothers you.
