During the summer after the college entrance exams, Li Yanzhi moved into a new home with her mother.

Reader's guide:

1. The early story takes place on a university campus. Later, it includes a little background from the entertainment industry. A genius director x a popular actor. Set in a fictionalized world with many original details.

2. Age gap: The man is two years older. They are not on the same household register and are not blood-related. Boarding-school trope, not a blended family.

3. The heroine is no saint. She's a charismatic heartbreaker, a genius with a nasty personality (but a law-abiding citizen). Includes scenes where she turns the tables on other villains. Read with caution if that's not your thing.

4. All the male characters are in the submissive position, and are pure in body and mind. There are about five of them; the blurb only mentions the one with the most screen time.

The main story is told in third person.

My puppy suddenly became quiet. I took it to the doctor, but they couldn't find anything wrong. I was worried, but there was nothing I could do except keep going to school.

I sat down, full of worry, and then that try-hard guy with the cold face suddenly rushed in from the door and threw himself at my feet. I was so startled that I quickly kicked him away.

The puppy didn't understand why its owner suddenly disliked it, so it could only silently return to its seat.

Its fuzzy little brain seemed to realize that it couldn't act so close to its owner in front of its classmates, so it could only sneakily lick its owner's face and fingers when no one was around.

I gradually realized that the try-hard guy had been replaced by my puppy. I thought it was strange, but I couldn't bring myself to neglect the puppy, so sometimes after school I'd secretly take it home, prepare dog food for it as usual, and play frisbee with it.

What I didn't know was that the try-hard guy hadn't been completely replaced.

When I bonded with the puppy's soul, when I stroked its fur, when the puppy used his body to lick me, he could feel everything clearly, but he couldn't stop it.

Later, the puppy finally returned to its own body, and everyone was happy.

When I went back to school, I passed the try-hard guy and suddenly had a wicked idea.

I was just about to speak when the try-hard guy suddenly lunged at my feet with a splash, acting on reflex.

Oh, puppy.
