The Haitani Brothers Confessed to Me After I Cross-Dressed

[Coming Soon: Livestreaming in the Ultraman Universe]

I never expected anyone to confess to me just because I dressed up as a girl once.

The person who confessed was Ran, a good-looking delinquent with distinctive hair and two braided pigtails.

He was handsome, but that didn't stop me from writing my gender on a sign and dashing his hopes.

"Sorry, I'm a guy."

Ran stayed calm. He just glanced at the sign, then asked if I wanted to date him.

I figured there was something wrong with his head, so I turned him down on the spot.

But he didn't give up. He used his money to get me to be his girlfriend for a day.

My one-day girlfriend duties involved Ran introducing me to his younger brother, Ryotan, as his girlfriend. It was supposed to be a prank.

I agreed because of the money. Then his younger brother actually believed it. When I was working another part-time job that involved dressing as a girl, Ryotan even called me "sis-in-law." I had mixed feelings.

Once our "one-day relationship" was over, I had no reason to keep helping Ran with his prank. So I told Ryotan I was a guy, and that Ran had paid me to play along.

I thought Ryotan would get angry.

Instead, he blushed and asked if I wanted to date him.

I was stunned.

What was going on? Did neither of them understand what I was saying?

I turned Ryotan down.

I immediately quit my part-time job that required me to dress as a girl.

But then...

I noticed Ran and Ryotan showing up around me even more often.

"I like you. Please go out with me," they would say.

[Japanese-inspired setting, original light novel]

Story One

You meet a beautiful bird on your balcony.

It appears there every night.

It flies into your palm and shows off its feathers from time to time.

You think it simply likes you,

until one day it starts bringing you beautiful gemstones, and everything takes a strange turn.

On Valentine's Day, you don't find the bird on your balcony. Instead, you meet a beautiful boy with wings. In a lovely voice, he says, "Please be my mate."

You: "..."

Story Two

You live by the sea and have a childhood friend you can only meet after dusk. He often appears behind the reefs and won't let you get close to them. You assume he just doesn't like being around people, so you don't think much of it.

Perhaps to make up for keeping his distance, he gives you gifts from time to time: shells and pearls. On the evening of your high school graduation, he gives you a scale that glows blue.

You're curious about what the scale is. Your childhood friend turns pale and asks if you like it.

Meeting his earnest gaze, you suddenly get a bad feeling. Maybe...

You're just imagining things.

Mermaids can't possibly exist, can they?

Story Three

You have a fiancee. She's beautiful, but in poor health. You like each other, and she often asks to meet you at night, then gets intimate with you.

One time, while you're kissing, your fiancee bites you and drinks your blood. Seeing her crimson eyes and bloodied fangs, you finally realize she's not an ordinary human, but a vampire.

"I've wanted to drink your blood for a long time." Her voice is no longer gentle, and you realize another truth: your fiancee is a man too.

You: "..."

Story Four

You run into your archenemy at a matchmaking event. You can't focus on the event because you can't stand each other, and it ends in failure.

Standing outside the venue, you accuse him of deliberately sabotaging your plans. Your archenemy just laughs. "That's right. I did it on purpose."

You want nothing to do with this infuriating enemy of yours. But he keeps turning up in front of you, saying things to make you angry, then enjoying your outbursts. Once, he even grabbed your hand and bit your finger.

That night, you have an indescribable dream. In it, your archenemy does something very intimate to you.

"I told you, you're mine, my incubus's toy."

Story Five

You're a student in the general studies department.

The person you like is incredibly popular in the performing arts department.

You have no chance to get to know him, until one day you go to his classroom.

He welcomes you warmly and asks your name.

Overwhelmed, you stumble through your introduction, and he gives you a note with his contact information.

Instead of feeling your heart flutter, you just find it confusing. You have no idea why he's acting this way, so you ignore the note.

Then one day, he comes to your classroom and calls you up to the rooftop, asking why you never contacted him.

"I've been waiting for your email this whole time," he says, as strange tentacles appear and wrap around your ankles.

"I've been watching you for a long time."

Story Six

After starting university, you quickly get into the fun of matchmaking events and a busy social life. You think you'll keep enjoying yourself, until one day you come home and find the robot butler who was supposed to be working at the family mansion.

The serious, strict butler criticizes the mess in your room, says you need him to teach you how to live, and sets a curfew.

You complain, but secretly hope that if you behave for a few days, the robot butler will take the hint and leave.

But a day passes, then two, then a month, then two months, and he still shows no sign of leaving. You even discover that he bends down and kisses you while you're asleep.

"Don't look at anyone else, my young master."
