The Echizen Student's Guide to Winning Himself Over

Chiba Rino has a childhood friend. He's a first-rate tennis prodigy, but he's also tsundere and full of himself, so he's not cute at all.

"Is he handsome?" her friend asked.

Chiba Rino thought about it seriously, then answered with conviction, "Handsome!"

Her friend said, "If he's that handsome, have you never thought about dating him?"

Chiba Rino was shocked. "Would you date a tsundere who has fought with you since childhood, knows all your embarrassing secrets, and loves to disagree with you?"

Her friend asked, "So, what's your relationship like?"

Chiba Rino pulled up her chat history with her childhood friend and showed it to her.

After looking through it, her friend flew into a rage. "For my sake, would you two please just start dating already?!"

She insisted she'd absolutely never go after someone so close to home. No matter how handsome he was, it was still a no!

Then one day, at a get-together, she drew a dare card: [Send a confession message to the last person you contacted].

Confidently pulling out her phone, Chiba Rino discovered that her childhood friend had contacted her on every single platform, just to ask if she'd be home for dinner tonight.

Under the watchful eyes of her friends, Chiba Rino shakily sent the confession.

[Let's date.]

On her way home after the get-together, Chiba Rino saw that her childhood friend had replied instantly.

[Okay.]

And so, the girl who had sworn she'd never go after someone so close to home went ahead and took a bite of the grass growing right beside her.

Chiba Rino after they started dating: He's so good!

I'm hers.

So she's mine, too.

A little reading guide:

* A talkative childhood sweetheart x a tsundere childhood friend: ordinary, uneventful everyday life

* There will be some crossover with other series. Lots of daily-life scenes, not much focus on matches

* My take on a Japanese school setting, with a slow-burn pace. My writing is average, so if it's not to your taste, feel free to drop it~
