So I Confessed to Echizen

Akizuki Eri has a cat. The kitten is adorable, but lively and mischievous, and often runs away when she isn't watching.

One day at the start of a new semester in high school, the kitten went missing again, so Akizuki Eri went out to look for it.

In the end, she heard a familiar meow in a park near her home. Following the sound, she reached a tree. Before she could look up, the branches began to sway.

Leaves fluttered down, and a figure jumped from the tree, landing neatly with her cat in his arms.

"Is this your cat?"

The boy with dark green hair held the cat out to her with both hands.

"This guy's got some nerve, climbing all the way to the top of a tree."

Looking at him, Akizuki Eri vaguely remembered: Wasn't this Echizen, the boy in her class?

Later, Echizen Ryoma watched a film she had acted in.

There was a scene where the young heroine looked toward the camera. Mist dampened the hair over her forehead, and behind her stretched a hazy curtain of rain. She held an umbrella and said nothing.

But her eyes seemed to speak. They were cautious, yet full of expectation, making it impossible to turn her down.

That look was exactly the same as the one she'd given him the last time it rained, when she said she hadn't brought an umbrella and asked if he could take her to the convenience store to buy one.

I want him.

I want to make him the one I'm destined to be with.

A few notes for readers:

* The heroine isn't perfect. She's a little scheming and has a darker side, as well as a temper and flaws of her own.

* My own take on a Japanese school setting. The romance mostly unfolds through everyday moments, and the ambiguous stage will last a while.

* Everyone interprets characters differently. If you feel they're OOC or this isn't for you, feel free to stop reading~

* Updates around noon on weekdays. Bonus chapters will be posted on weekends.
