Synopsis

My name is Kanae. One day, Lord asked me to look after a new boy who seemed really full of himself. He was covered in injuries, with several broken ribs, but instead of resting properly, he was practicing his sword swings against a wooden post in the yard, trying to look cool. Those were the wounds I'd worked so hard to bandage! To get back at him, I deliberately didn't prepare any candied fruit when he drank his bitter medicine. But he drank it all without even changing his expression! I shoved the candied fruit I'd hidden into my mouth and chewed hard. He stared at me. "Why are you mad?" I jumped up, furious. "Why do you have to act so full of yourself?! Master would never like someone like you!" But two months later, that boy became a Hashira. Tears burst from my eyes on the spot. Theme: Muichiro Tokito
