Beyond Youth

One day, Yue Shao knelt in a temple and prayed to the statue of a divine lord for good luck.

“I’ve worked hard to accumulate merit and done plenty of good deeds. I don’t know why I’m always the one who gets unlucky.”

Beside her, a swindling monk said, “Most people have a mix of good and bad fortune. Miss, do you know why you’re the only one who gets unlucky?”

Yue Shao answered sincerely, “I don’t know. All I did was tear down my father’s funeral hall, beat my younger sister’s maid, kick a scumbag in the crotch, and burn down half the family mansion...”

The monk choked. What was she, the reincarnation of a little demon king?

There was one thing Yue Shao hadn’t mentioned: she was a genuine fox spirit.

Reader’s guide: One-on-one, both leads are sexually inexperienced. I’m still writing a sweet, satisfying story.

Theme: Fall in love with someone, and don’t back down for their sake.
